Seriously save your time and money and trade it on the Hyosung. You do not stand a chance with the GS. I have ridden my brothers one at the edge (and beyond), and man they just are not up to it. You will come last. I reckon the Comet is a top thing for the money.

You are right ofcourse...... the little spewzuki wouldnt do the job... I just thought it would be an affordable class to get into.... I have a GS... I dont have a Comet...

Being a GS 500 the scrutineers will never look twice at it. Lets stick some big pistons in the fcuker and get you out there. Just have to promise not to pass down the straights.

haha :)

Im gonna see if I can sell it for 3 grand and pick up a repairable writeoff for around that price... (sv or comet or something) not holding my breath though...

Wouldnt the ducati V-twins clean up that class though?
The world is round. It has no point.

Did you or your mum consume inordoinate amounts of LSD or similiar substances during the 60's????

mmm lets see, 600ss duc, or Suzy SV650?????? hhmmmm methinks the duc would blow up trying to keep up. STD 600ss is @60hp(from memory it may be less) and the SV puts out @ 75hp. No comparison.

My prediction is that this bike will clean up in class:

Image

Just look at it. Jap spec 79 HP V twin engine, and here is some of the other blurb from the website:

Adjustable footrests compliment the versatile chassis, tailor the ergonomics to suit your body and height. Dual lateral oval bar frame is designed to reduce weight and allow the engine to be carried lower to provide cornering agility comparable to European sports bikes.

Upside down forks compliment the chassis to give nimble handling and safer road holding. Twin front discs and dual twin piston fully floating brake calipers provide incredible stopping power. Fit racing pads and you are ready for the race track! Upside down forks have compression and rebound adjustment, and the rear shock is charged for suspension sophistication not normally available in this price range.

Anyway that is until the ER6 fairing version gets here..... Then the domination begins....

I was talking with a dealer today who is going to run an ER6 next year, and he reckons it will be a real surprise to the others as to how it will perform. He obv has some inside info on them, but feels based on what he knows, they may well be a front runner. Hope so, would love to see a kwaka win something.
