Arggggggggh there's more to go! I got 200km/h out of my GPZ250R (same engine) going down the Toowoomba range- a hill with a 10% incline.....(1993 it was...do I sound old now?)
2 X ZRX1200R 4 X ER6N, GT550, 1988 ZX-10, 4 X GPZ250R, 4 X GPZ900R and GPZ750R :) Yeah I like Kawasakis.

How can the 2 words 'Geraldton' and 'downhill' be used in the same sentence ????????

Good stuff, I was happy to see 'the ton' out of my old RD350B, which it saw from .....time to time.... - anyone who can drag 175 out of a non-raced-based 4stroke 250 is doing well.....

i put a bicycle computer on my zzr250... one of the things it does is log top speed.

managed to get it to say 182kmh, and its set to read speeds a little lower than the speedo. don't ask me how i did that though... maybe i didn't even do it *resets bike computer*

maybe it could go over 200 with a suitably huge mountain :D

Just did 240kph on my ZZR1200 with a pillion and luggage on board. And it was still goin hard! Estimate with the close to half a tonne that we could've done a standing 1/4 mile in the 12-13 sec bracket.

i recon most 250's have pretty optimistic speedos

have to try it with a GPS unit displaying real speed strapped to the bars

Scooters have the most optimistic speedos. I'm considering getting one for a run around and some speedos go almost 50km over the max speed the scoot is capible of down hill with tail wind
