Maybe..............and maybe not. According to recent reports, the release date has been *delayed* until MID-2006, as the Big K want to make sure that they release the most powerful version of the *several* that have been tested to this point.......

and I will *cheerfully* admit that is gladdens me no end to see this demo clip with the CORRECT title of ZZR-1400. You will never see me refer to this model as anything other than the ZZR1400 which it most clearly is. Big, fast comfortable T-O-U-R-I-N-G bike, as per its predecessor, the ZZR1200.

It is not and never will be a ZX14, if it was a ZX then where is the 'R' which designates S-P-O-R-T-S ?????????????? Using ZX is just a marketing ploy designed to trade upon the sporting name that all ZX-R models have, because they are in fact sports bikes, not tourers............

imho of course

Mhm. Never mind that North America has always had the R-less ZX designation all along, in the minds of too many people, a big battering-ram of a Kawasaki needs to be a ZZ-R.

Was in Cosway's today....

Good news for ZX12-R owners...

They have just recieved a 2006 ZX12-R... Production on ZX12-R's will continue AT LEAST through 2006....

Also, Cosway's refer to the ZX14 as a ZZR14...

Nice to know the dealers realise what is going on...

?????? What gives you this idea ?? All the American sites and magazines etc, refer to ZX-12R, ZX-10R, ZX-9R etc etc, just the same as they do here ?? There is no difference whatsoever in model designations......

Yes balanse, I am very much into the letter thing.... it just urks me that the replacement for the ZZR1200 (itself a fantastic motorcycle for its designed application) has somehow tagged itself like a leech, or a chancre on a camels arse, to the ZX-R series. Its like saying the new ZZR600 is a *replacement* for the ZX636-R, which it most clearly is not.

Actually... you are wrong, the americans actually have the 01/02 design of the ZX6-R as their ZZR600.... so there... ..

Also, the ZZR600's they call the ZX6 - IK is right.
They've distinguished models using the 'R' where we have a differnt name (ZZR vs ZXR)

so where does that leave the ZX9-R, ZX10-R and ZX12-R ?? The Yanks may have changed 1 year model designation for the ZX6, but that still leaves a whole lot of other models that use the 'R' designation in both countries, not 'R'-less as stated..........

They're called Ninja's

But seriously, it's pretty simple. They have ZX6R, ZX10R, ZX12R, ZX12, ZX14, ZX6...we have ZX6R, ZX10R, ZX12R, ZZR1200, ZZR1400, ZZR600

....or something like that anyway
