CRAP

Went into Parramatta Kawasaki yesterday, now owned by Team Moto since Monday, and ordered a Master Cylinder kit to be fitted by their service department today. I dropped my bike off this morning and went back this arvo and the part hadn't arrived.

I went into the spares section and they had not ordered it. They first blamed the fact they had just bought the place. They then blamed it on the kit only just arriving at Kawasaki Australia from Japan TODAY.

Nonetheless I was not impressed and let them know. Told them that I hoped it wasnt a sign of things to come. They said it wasnt. Told them that parts used to come in the same day they were ordered. He said they still do. "Really?" I said "So can you explain to me why my bike is going to sit in your service department for 2 days waiting for a part that was ordered the day before it went in for service?!" At least they apologised insincerely.

Not only that - the labour rate has gone up for servicing too!

Fuck!

crap - i second that!

at a team moto in bris i went in and asked were some stuff was and they told me that it was shit and they dont sell it - when i asked why other shops and teams around the world have been using them for years she told em the truth - get better deals with certain brands and there for more profit...

Undies is still there thank God. Brad and Michael are still out in service which is good, but apart from them everyone else has gone. Without a word of a lie, there mustve been 20+ people in Team Moto shirts walking around the place all trying to look important.

Id be going down to Southside now except they're losing Kawasaki. Is it any co-incidence?

Better get used to it they start by buying one dealership and once they have converted it to a stealership they move on to buying another one.

once they have 70% of the marketshare they turn the rest into the pro group and make it hard for all the little mechanical shops by taking three weeks to order in parts for them.

Seen it before somewhere.
If I rode my bike at the speed of light, what would happen when I switched on its headlights?

Unfortunately that's how you make money in the real world, buy everyone out, get a monopoly & push the margins up thru selling exclusive products or products you get better deals on & maybe give occassional good service.

Best piece of advice would be get involved early on in the monopoly & get your slice of the better profits.

If you can't beat them, join them!

I'm sorry but i disagree.

We still charge RRP

and discount

being part of a monoploy doesn't mean shit to us.

Customer service is still a large part of our business. We get the customers the other company burns

I have to agree. I have been into only 2 Team Moto stores and although they seem clean/bright & stylish type of stores, the were more sales focused and comitted on getting that sale.

I now only go to a PRO store, where I have been offered a more friendly service and they are willing to give advise on anything I have asked.

We've had nothing but trouble with Team Moto, firstly over the ordering of a helmet, which took three phone calls & visits to the shop over a course of a week, only to have to go to another shop in the end to get what I actually ordered. Secondly, the debacles in having my husband's bike repaired through insurance after he highsided it, ie the bike being returned to the shop twice for further repairs after initially picking it up & no phone calls returned has put us right off Team Moto.
Cheers,
Anne

For what it's worth, I've never found a dealership that cares for C/S. All they are interested in is selling bikes. Companies who speciallise in servicing bikes are worth their weight in gold, find a good one and you won't go wrong.

My experience has been that the companies don't care as much for customer service, it's usually the individual that you're dealing with that makes the difference....which is why I'm so annoyed one of the guys I usually deal with has left the local place :(
