Rossi: Link didn't work...

Yeah, discolouring is all about the grade of stainless used. The more steel in the mix and the less discolouration you're gonna get. Mechanical engineer I'm talking to suggests building to sustain 600-700C. I prob wont polish from the headers down to the connector though, not much point, don't see it anyway.

I've had shitloads of ideas thrown at me, from doing a whole 4-2 system, right through the bloody can too. Seen a pic of such a system (akra) on Borstrom's old 7R, looks cool.

Even so, the more I look into actually changing stuff, the level of technicallity just goes right through the roof. And, simply put, I don't have anywhere near the knowledge, or the time and energy to research such a thing and get it right in the end.

So, will I make things easier for myself if I basically just replicate the existing system and try to make it flow better (connector/can)? Or am I best off buggering all that off, and copying Matty here and just doing a half system (2 of the guys I ride with have these, though professionally made brandname type things)?

:) Kempy there's a guy i heard about on the osb site on the northside at Lawnton on Paisely Drive who makes exhaust systems very cheap and gets some good results (i believe he has a drag racing background) i heard talk figures of less than $500 for a system including can or can only for under $300. Also have you looked at http://www.jcmotors.com they deal in mostly 2nd hand gear but i saw a good Muzzy race system advertised for US $350.
