Has anyone here gone to Superbike school?

Just wondering if anyone has done the cornering course at superbike school?

Its 400 during week days, and slightly more for weekends...

Has anyone here done it? Was it worth it? What level were you before and after?

No, but I'd also be interested to hear what people from this site have to say (so far I've only heard good things from others).

I'm planing to do level 1 and maybe 2 next year with a couple of track days in between (using their hire bike for the lot). I hope to improve my riding skill from 'mediocre' to 'hugely impressive' :P
Motorcycle's are inherently unstable...

They have some free spaces in september, but I dont have full leathers at the moment, which means it will be expensive to do it that soon :(

I did Level 1 with Samhasa636 while we were on 250's -so he was actually SamhasaZZR250- at Wakefield. It was excellent, well worth the $.
I took it quite easy throughout the day really focusing hard on exactly what they were teaching me, then pushed it a little in the last couple of sessions. I was the last "student" bike on the track after it had started raining too, which I was proud of :D hehe.
I wasn't comfortable using it like a track day to "prove" my skills to myself, it was very much a class room for me, which I think was great.

Sam pushed a bit harder than me I think and got some impressive results imo, awesome photos too.

After a couple of weeks playing with the things I'd learnt there and another track day on the 250 and my riding took a huge, huge leap.

My transition to the 750 was heaps easier than I thought, and some specific things I learnt from SBS definitely saved my arse a few times while I was getting comfortable on the bike.

Their method of teaching made it really easy for me to remember/absorb the information and it was just part of my riding from the word go, very little concious effort to remember specific things, how things felt on the track, what my instructor told me, blah blah blah.

Once the ZXR's up and running I'm doing Level 2 asap. I factored level 2 and 3 into my "new bike budget". I think I'm going with Sam again too.

You can hire leathers from SBS, probably about $80 for the day.

Do it Do it Do it!

PS - Their whole design is beyond impressively professional. Very very well thought out, very friendly, very professional :D
ZXR"900" - In pieces... again.
Another engine gone but at least the purple and pink are still there, oh yeah.

I'm going on Friday as per a post in the Rides thread - will let you know how it goes.
ASBS do actually provide rental of leathers - which I'm taking advantage of as I don't have leathers either. Adds $35 to the cost.

I think I want to buy my own leathers anyway.... I might put SBS off until October and get my own...

But definitely let us know how it goes!

That's what I figure too.
I was going to buy my own, but was finding it hard to find the dough, or the time to go trying on leathers to see what I needed.
When I saw they only wanted $35 to rent a set I stopped worrying ;)

For the road my draggins and dririder have proven themselves sufficient  but I never really liked not having leathers on the track.

Level 1 was ABSOLUTELY the best money I've ever spent. I could not believe the improvement in confidence and "ability" I got out of level 1 alone.

Level 2 and 3 were still money well spent but the improvement wasn't quite as much as level 1.

The things Steve Brouggy show you are simple, and if you go in without an open mind you'll easily think "I already knew that". But sheesh the difference they make. He starts basic and goes through the hows and whys. They keep saying, don't concentrate on the previous lesson, just the current one but they all just flow so nicely you don't even notice it.

I would definitely advice anyone to take up at least level 1, 2fiddy or gixxerthou.
