Bleeding brake lines

Bled my brake lines today, used a bleed kit for Repco. It's only a few dollars for a tube with a 1 way valve. Took less that 30 mins. As for setting suspension, it's a complete hastle. You need to sort static sag (preload) and then damping and rebound adjustments with deal with how fast the shocks can load and unload. It is the latter two that cause the continual bounce, but preload being too light can be also make you bounce a bit. It takes ages to test ride, adjust, test ride to see if there are any differences and adjust again. The results are worth it, but an expert will save you hours.

Pump up your brake lever until it is firm, and against the bar, and tie it there (I use some electrical tape to do this.) Make sure it is against the bar and leave it overnight....works a lot of the time. :D

I can definitely recommend this, I just changed the fluid on the 7 (trying to put off new pads till I can afford them) and it seemed to make little difference to lever feel (as in it still hit the bar).

Then I cable tied the lever halfway through it's stroke (didn't want to go to hard on it in case it busted some seals or something), and it made a huge difference! I left it on there for most of a day, around 7-8 hours I guess.

Good one Boner!!
