Rotate Tyres?

Postby hammer » Mon Aug 08, 2005 6:48 pm

The nice bike shop man told me I should rotate my tyres every 100km. Do you guys thinks this sounds right?

I find mine rotate ok every time I ride the bike so I don't manually rotate them. (Unless I'm washing it, then when it's on the rear paddock stand I'll rotate the rear tyre).

I think you will find that has something to do with your rotary dampner and if you run the tre you will have the same problem.

Isn't it just a case of swapping front and rear? Handling would be great with a 180 on the front, not so sure about the 120 on the back though

Let me think now. A ZX10 with a 190 on the front and a 120 on the back. That'd be a challenge. It'd be good to see what the profile of the 190 would be like squeezed onto the front rim though.

Your tyre man is clearly either taking the piss or he is mental. Run from him whenever you see him or hit him on the head with something heavy.
It's really all about standing around drinking Dave's beer.
