pretty sure its A model (2000-2001) then B model(2002-2005) - on the Ohlins site, the KA209 is listed as suitable for 02-05 models.

I have an A model Ohlins on my B model. Ohlins tech told me the only differences are spring weight and the out of the box settings. I needed the heavier spring anyways so it suits my bike well.

Cool

thanks for the tip. I couldn't see any listings for the 00-01 A model 12's on the Ohlins site - but given that the major parts of the bike didn't really change too much over its model life......not too surprised that they kept the same basic dimensions for the rear shock.
