Goose of the weeks

Postby dilligaf » Sun May 18, 2014 12:25 pm

11am on a Saturday morning in the Yarra Ranges is neither the time nor place for big speed. Pity as its a nice road to ride fast.
Highway patrol or bike cops are out there quite often.

A motorcyclist has had his motorbike impounded after being caught speeding at more than 100km/h over the speed limit north-east of Melbourne on Saturday morning.

Yarra Ranges Highway Patrol clocked the Honda CBR 1000 travelling at 205km/h in a 100km/h zone on Healesville-Kinglake Road in Castella just after 11am.

The rider, a 24-year-old Epping man, had his motorbike immediately impounded under hoon legislation and is expected to be charged on summons with dangerous speeding and exceeding the 100km/h limit.

If my memory serves me correctly, there's quite a long straight out near Buxton. I think it links the highway to Lake Mountain. Now that was god fun on a 1998 ZX7!
