After checking through my numerous parts buckets ice managed to find almost all of the hoses and fittings or the fuel tank! Just waiting on an o-ring an should be good to install.

Also had another ZXR750 motor delivered on Wednesday for the other bike (ZXR#1) so am planning another build on that one after Christmas!

Have been promised some spare hours in the garage soon to finish the current bike (ZXR#3) in readiness for Blue slip!

Watch this space!

Collected o-rings from Kawasaki; one's wrong!

Taking it back today with the associated part to get it exchanged for the correct one!

Hope to get some more time in the bike this weekend.

Manage to get the motor serviced and a few other bits done earlier this week so still hopeful for a Christmas ride but will have to see what Santa brings!

Put the ZX7R forks, brakes and front wheel back on tonight plus fitted the new fairings.

Needing a rear fairing lower bracket as mine has been pretty badly bent but otherwise should be good for rego!

Put the polished rear wheel back on and tidied up the fairing fixings a bit but fond a split in both fuel lines from the tank so another trip to Kawasaki awaits!

If I can talk Mrs ZXR around I may have it rego'd by Christmas of not it'll be next year!

Pics as promised...

It's got plenty of rough areas when you're up close and I'm still not sold on the silver polished wheels but they'll do until a green set comes along!

Maybe paint the front guard next week?

Thanks Chris, missed a set of green M1 wheels on eBay for it so will have to stick with the silver polished until I can did another set.

I wouldn't rush to do that - the black suits!

Maybe leave it for a bit then; see if it grows on me!

Got the fuel lines and grommets yesterday so all I'm waiting on now is a fairing bracket and I should be good I go for Blue slip!

Finally got some time to finish the bike and here she is!

Image

Mirrors came with it as did the top fairing bracket and I kinda like them painted black!

Managed to talk the lower fairing bracket into straightening out with the help of my boot and a lump hammer; $20 saved!

Filled her with 98, turned over for a bit then that familiar carbied motor hum!

Give it a quick squirt up and down the road before taking the photos by the water and she'll need some carb balancing I think ad maybe a tune but otherwise ready for the Blue slip and rego in 2014! Then the louder pipe can go back on to give it some better acoustics!

Roll on the start of the original ZXR rebuild in 2014!

Jast got the bike onto the trailer ready for Blue slip after the battery decided it didn't want to play ball and died!

Think it may have a few electrical gremlins in the charging system but for now I just hope it passes after I've used the car to jump start it!

Wish me luck!
