blown motor

as the title suggests i have a problem inside the motor on a 2000 zx6r

Does any one know where i can get one from and the cheapest price possible as i am at uni using it as my commuter

Have you seen the video with the guy on the TLR at the drags - piston goes staright into his chest...

mate you will have to try local wreckers or Findapart. For a 600 motor of that vintage - expect to pay anywhere from $500 to $1500.

if the bottom end went ie the big end bearings will the top end be ok

the only way to find out is to have a look. If the bottom end has let go, there is potential for all top-end damage as well .....may not be a problem but you need to pull the head & barrel to be sure.

cheapest way would be to buy a wreck


either ebay or the damaged bike auctions

it might be best to park it in the shed for a while till you can find something
