zx9r front brakes

Postby smiley_w » Sat Jan 12, 2013 11:24 am

I removed my front wheel to change my tyre so i just changed my front brakes on my 96 and they are grabbing a little. The pistons on the calipers went back ok, changed the pads and placed them back on. The wheel does not free spin easy...very tight....is this part of the bedding in process. maybe I missed a step

is the reservoir overfull?
New pads can grab a bit, but shouldn't too much. Bleed a little fluid out incase the reservoir is full and see if that helps.
If that makes no deference go for a ride up the street and back and see if it gets better once they rub the disc a bit.

Before you push the pistons back it is a good idear to clean the calipers first, this will stop any shit being pushed in ;)
