Models and Airbrushing

Postby icebreaker » Fri Oct 05, 2012 11:16 am

Hey guys,

I decided to give model building a crack. There is a Naka's MotoGP model I want to do. So I'm working my way upto it by doing some cars first.

I built a dual action Delta airbrush yesterday. So I'm looking for people with some airbrushing experience to give me some pointers.

Cheers,

Dan

Practice, practice, practice.

Good airbrushing technique will not happen first go mate. I strongly suggest painting something else first so you can get a feel for the action and flow rate. And remember, preparation is the key to a good finish.

Yeh. The $20 kits are for practice.
But I'll do a lot on paper too.

I did some mat black on an old fairway wood this morning as my first crack. I was wrapped with how it came out actually.

I'm really disappointed in you Dan.......... I came in here expecting lots of airbrushed grid girls.................. :(
