Yes we did, we are young and only experience was the difference last night, as for being dirty take a look into slater's CV, years of experience of sliding studs up in the in goals & lets not forget storm's graple tackle.

well if you are only counting GF appearances - yes.

I was referring to the H&A record (Pies 11 games in a row against the ugly Ducks) - which the Ducks finally broke 2 weeks ago - mind you, the Ducks needed 2 weeks off and the Pies to play in the toughest elimination final of 2012 and then have only 6 days off which included the funeral of a close mate - before they could finally beat them.

Looking forward to 2013. Pies will be back up there. Goodes finally retiring with a ruptured PCL. Bolton gone, Ted Richards old and wobbly - I reckon the Ducks will be lucky to make the 8 next year !!

The Pies have won 14 premierships. That's not a bad result, better than most.

14 ?

15 premierships. Pies are only behind Blues (spit) and Bombers(spit spit) who have both won 16.

really hoping that sometime in the next few years the Pies will equal those other 2 sides.......and then lead the field on 17 !!

I think that the Pies are probably better-positioned than either the Blues or the Bombers to win another cup in the next 5 years.

Lucky - nobody outside of Sydney rated them - but Goodesy said at the start of the year that they were a chance. Good call !

Was interesting though during the year when they sat on top of the ladder - nobody seemed to give them a second thought.....which would have spurred them on a bit ?

Will definitely be going to the local Canberra game when they play here next year - should pack out Manuka Oval to the tune of 17,000 or more......a crowd size that Port Adelaide can only dream about !!!

Port Adalaide most premierships by a long way 35 or 36 and there was a stage where there was 5 or so in a row. :P

Port Adelaide ?? the same team that nobody wants to coach in the AFL in 2012 ??

35 premierships in a country town competition doesn't mean jack squat mate.

Gos, i'd take 20 H&A losses to get that win when it counts - in the finals.

In both codes the minor premiers lost, which goes to show that H&A means didly squat, its all about giving yorself the best opportunity in the finals and then hitting form at the right time and winning the big games.

BTW, I also still didn't give them much hope during the year as they didn't seem to have much success against other top 4 teams.
