Forgive me for a beginners question. But what does the "wristband"over the brake fluid cannister do? Is it advised for street riding or is it a track thing :) ?
This is my signature and it can say whatever I want.

Its an old racer's trick to prevent spillage of brake fluid.

AFAIK there are a few reasons:
A lot of racers removed the rubbery seal in the older systems as it was difficult to get out when doing quick top-ups - this allowed some weeping.
The plastics in the old days was not too UV stable so would get brittle.
If one took a stone, it would shatter and spill on your paint and spoil your day.

I always chuckle at the kiddies that have them on the brake fluid reservoirs on their cars!
I p!ss myself listening to them explain why they have them! Keeping the fluid warm... Reducing water absorbtion... Better brake response... blah blah blah... Heh!

Looks fantastic! Love the ducktail. Linkpipe/Akra connection seems a bit experimental (Pic 0110)?

Hey all....

I dont know who dug this post up but it is pretty old.. well very old..!!! :?

I have made plenty of mods and changes to this bike ever since the original build up.. it's been raced (got a 3rd place) and had ohlins added, quickshifter etc plus way more... and plenty of different exhausts..

Here are some pics of what it looks like right now.. sitting in the shed under a cover waiting for the better weather.. ;) I am working on getting the KTM RC8 completed ASAP.. should have the painted fairings on this week.. more pics to come of that very soon.
