Why do you want a pay rise? Do you give more than your being paid for?

Don't tell them your quitting unless your are willing to go.
I love my new ZX10. It scares the shit out of me.

Tough times at the moment. They may see this as an opportunity to save some coin by letting you go.....tread carefully.

Alternatively, wait until economic conditions improve.

I'm not familiar with your arrangements....best of luck!

If you get on well with your immediate supervisor I would run it past him/her first and see what they think, check out your chances and get a feel for what chances you have, whether it has been done in the past, how it was done and how successful. It is hard to give you advice unless we know your work environment.

Start gently and see where it takes you at least that way you are not burning your bridges straight up, you can push harder when you know what/who your are dealing with and whether you are pushing shit uphill with a thin stick or you are in with a chance. then you know whether to start looking for a new job.

good luck
