I found the drinking part not to be too much of a worry . ... In fact, I believe I may have increased considerably to make up for lack of nicotine . .

Keep it up mate, doin good ;)

Today is day 22 for me. First real test is going to come this weekend, heading out to Dubbo for a mate's birthday drinks.

Hows everyone going with this?

Day 15 on champix, 6 days clean and no real side effects other than a very minor head ache.
Havnt had a despo moment at all, just a few fleeting moments on friday night.
Got a bowl full of nico chewies, patches and mints for emergencies and healthy stuff to gnaw on. Hey, it works :kuda:

Been washing clean clothes again because they stink of it, it will take a while for the car interior to air out but it reminds me of what a stinking habit smoking is.

The smell of smoke now disgusts me more than ever, I fear I will turn into one of those ex smokers who thinks of it as weak willed.

Hey Jonno, well done!

My test over the weekend wasn't much of a test in the end... no one in our group was smoking. Only time was when I first sat down with my first bourbon for the evening, I felt like I should go outside and light up, cuz that's what I do, but it only lasted for a second :D Was outside for a little while with people smoking nearby and it wasn't bad, the smell didn't bother me but nor did it tempt me! However, I guess I must have a neighbour who smokes near to my bathroom window as just about every evening my bathroom stinks of cigarette smoke... and that bugs me greatly.

Onya Mel, wtg, your giving me inspiration :kuda:

Yeah its all about letting that urge to pass which is common but in a second its gone, a distraction helps too.

Hehe that smoke intrusion is rude isnt it
