Hello

Postby NickSA » Mon Sep 05, 2011 3:45 pm

Hi to everyone , I have read the forum for a while and thought I should join up as I'm trying to decide weather or not to build up a road/track Zxr750 using bits from my zxr750m track bike or wether I sell it and buy a late model ZX10 although it would break my heart, either way I will probably be able to use some advice from you guys I look forward to becoming an active forum user.

Whats involved in the 'build'?
Would you put the ZX10 on the track?
It all comes down to how you ride it.....

Depends on what u want out of a track bike mate, how much do u want to spend on a track bike.
U need to think that one thru first, reason i say that, i bought a new 07 ZX10 rode it on road for a year, did a few track days with it, now it is a track bike only and will never go back on road, but here is my problem, it now owes me 35 grand!!! is that to much for a trackie?? fuk yer.
i allso have a 96zx7r road bike that owes me 5 grand, so yer i should have gone the other way, but if i kept riding the 10 on road i would be in jail by now!!
with something that owes me that much, it is in the back of ur mind when u get out there.
allso u need to work out, how fast do u want to go? my 10 is making 174hp, so their not slow. a well sorted zx7r is a great bike, remember in its day it was the ducks guts, so maybe there is ur answer??
96 ZX7R roady
07 ZX10R tracky. to many mods to list here!

G'day........

My only advice is get two bikes..
One for the road and one for the track... and yes you can afford it, cause a track bike bike is cheaper to buy than the repairs will cost you if you crash your road bike at the track.....
