Ardvark and myself loaded up friday arvo and headed 2 hrs east actually it was more like 3 hrs but i told Jase it was 2

53 riders registered for the event so it was a great turn out over the 2 days.
This would have to be one of the most gruelling physical rides you can do, all of it in sand and some of it deep and unrelenting (think sand dunes), some through tight scrub trees waiting for you to impale yourself on the branches. The temperature was 28 deg just to add another dimension along with the dust.
They said this was the toughest one they have held so far and it was with 140kms on saturday and 60 or so km's on the sunday.
There were a few minor injuries and considering what we were riding through it is surprising there weren't more serious ones.
Jase had to do most of it with a failed front brake which gave him plenty of oh crap moments as he used bushes to slow himself at times, he also scored a nice bruise courtousy of the bar end but i will let him post a pic of that if he wants too

Everthing went to plan, the organising was spot on and well run with catering etc, friday night had many drink to much and suffering the next day

Anyway the video speaks for itself

This is a short video of some of the mishaps, Jase is in the light blue on the yellow berg..
