I cannot believe someone would do this.... Surely we must give them the benefit of the doubt, maybe this cop got it wrong? We will see I guess, if the bike comes back at all. If he really knew the dude was dead, the guy should be punished to the max by the law if caught. Just stealing is a crime that I despise, but in such a circumstance becomes something else entirely.

Was the rider killed instantly?

Dont think they know that as yet. Waiting for the coronor to rule cause of death. Nothing was said in the reports I've read, though from the discription it sounds like he took quite a fall.

As for the guy/gal that nicked the bike, I dont think he could even give it back without a lot of backlash. Though he would deserve every bit of it. Thats probably the lowest thing I've ever read for a long time. Sign of the (very sad) times we live in...

Maybe it's a robbery instead of stealing one's fallen bike? It's just so low.

reported in todays paper...
the Police are now also seeking the return of the rider's MOBILE PHONE,
which was taken off the rider himself following the accident.

Pharkers!

Maybe its a murder robbery kind of thing?

In my mind thats a lot easier to deal with than someone taking stuff fom an accident victim.

This is offically the lowest act I've ever heard of... I hope they track the phone and burn this B*stard!

You people are all too nice - I've ceased to be amazed by the things some people do.
I've taken to assuming everyone is capable of such acts - then I'm pleasantly suprised when I find someone who isn't.
It's the only way to survive on the road as a motorcyclist after all...

But yes, she/he/it/they are c*nts.
