Anyone know where you can hire a gumby?

Postby maraach » Mon Mar 07, 2011 7:36 pm

Well guys, as a twist of fate it looks like i might be reconsidering the 06 / 07 zx10r as my next bike. I foolishly rode one of the new one's on the weekend while my wife was busy procrastinating about other things and i have to say i thoroughly enjoyed it.

However, my concerns about how it would handle stints of a couple of hours at a time are still very much there.

Okay, an extreme long shot here but I was just wondering if anyone knew of anywhere that hire's these bikes? I've found places that do the cbr1000's and gsxr 750's but no zx10r's.. Basically just looking to see if i can handle my usual weekend ride (to robertson and back).. if i can.. there is an awful nice one currently for sale...

Not sure where u can hire one, but found when I had my Gumby it was fairly comfy. Managed Cowes to Sydney via the coast in a day and felt completely fine to ride the next day if thats any indication ;)

i have to admit it was actually a lot better than i was expecting. I'm not sure how much of that was the "wow new and shiny" factor and how much was of it was that its actually a comfortable bike.

You need to go do 450k's in one day before you start making assumptions.
