ZXR H1 engine mount locations????

Postby Dj » Sun Apr 24, 2005 5:49 pm

i was going right over my bike today, and noticed that attatched to the frame directly beneath the start of the tank, there are two threaded holes, with holes cast inline behind them on the head, i dont know if theyre threaded or not tho :? in the threaded part of the frame, sits a rubber cap, on either side...
*notes 3 large long bolts securing the motor already, one in front, two in the rear*

im hoping these are provision for crash knobs, or frame sliders, or whatever you'd like to call them, and SERIOUSLY hoping these holes arent supposed to be used for upper engine/chassis mounts....cause theres no bolts in either....

im not riding the bike til i know one way or the other, so i'd appreciate if someone that knows for sure, would be kind enough to let me know...

thanks...
Dj
*as a sidepoint...ill have a manual as of next weekend so i'll be able to stop askin all these blonde questions   *

Sounds like they're the upper engine mounts...which is where crash knobs go if you mount them.

Do a search on
http://www.buykawasaki.com on their parts diagrams- you should see in frame or somewhere similar. :)
2 X ZRX1200R 4 X ER6N, GT550, 1988 ZX-10, 4 X GPZ250R, 4 X GPZ900R and GPZ750R :) Yeah I like Kawasakis.
