'99 model zx7r

Does anyone know of any problems associated with the '99 ZX7R's?

I am assuming that they are pretty bullet proof like the rest of the 7's, but just want to make sure.

Cheers,
Pete

I had my 98 model for about 5years.
Model specific problems i had with mine was the coolant bottle gets old and cracks results in leaking onto the back tyre.
Also behind the front sprocket and clutch slave cylinder there is a seal that has the clutch rod(shaft) running through it. It hardens as it gets old doesnt seal and when the bike is running proceeds to squirt a pressurized flow of oil out of the motor onto the bottom inside fairings and finally the back tyre. Happened twice to me only noticed taking off from lights and getting sideways. Also maybe because mine was high klms (132000) front brake calipers were getting a bit gummy .
Hope this helps Plane

Thanks grundor,

Sounds like its an old age/ wear issue but it's good to keep an eye out for things like that. The bike I'm looking at only has 20,000km on the clock, so maybe it might be exempt.

Cheers,
Pete
