Gee I wish I had some experiance riding any of these bikes. Then I could have an opinion based on more than just simple looks and my post wouldn't be as worthless as, well, this one!

I wish kawasaki would at least update the look of the 14's bodywork a little bit more. When I look at the 14 compared to the 12, I think the 12 looks more modern :?

You really need to ride them all, decide what you want the bike for, and pick whichever one you want (except the busa  ).

Having said that I do very much like the 12 and the 14 but would probably pick the 14 over the 12.

I am trying to decide between a 2006 Busa , 2006 ZX14 0r a 2000 - 2005 ZX12r so what to do.
I read the reviews but now I leave you guys to help me out here . which out of the three is ( and be honest ) the most versitile ?????
Average $$$$ for a busa or 14 are around the 12 k which I am comfortable with but the 12r's seem real affordable hovering around the 9 k.
So which one then ????

Having raced with you around the track Devo I can safely say there is only one logical choice for you ....

Seriously Jonno, have you test ridden any of them?

Cant you read

Seriously I have only test riden the 14 and zzr12 in this bike catorgory Poss!

I never test rode my brand new 2004 12R when I bought it, but test ride around the block counts for nothing compared to a few hours many times out in the real world, and have riden all of the Hypertourers on ride days many times.i.e Blackbirds, ZZR11 and 12, ZX12, Busa, 14's, FJR and an old GTR, but I havnt riden the exotics or eurotourers.

I was going to give you the long version but ...nah.

Since you have asked me to qualify, I might ask have you test riden, owned or riden any of these "sports Barges" more than once?

Hey.. another case of my mouth/brain working faster than anything else.. (and it was late)

Not asking to qualify..just reckon you should go for what feels right for you.. Im eatting my words when i say that i bought my Zed without a test ride, but i just knew thats what i wanted...

I havent ridden the big thumpers A. ive never had the need (too big for me) B. Im vertically challenged..Thats not to say i wouldnt have a go.. :P
There are guys here in Ballarat who have a ZX14 and Busa, they both rave about their bikes (and love to leave me for dead on the long open roads..grr) but twisties and round town game on :P .

My ex had an FJR so yes have ridden that.. was very smooth, quiet and the power!.. the "hand bags" came in handy too :P loved the electric adjustable screen

Personally i like the ZX14, but it's all about YOU.. good luck :kuda:

I have owned a ZX14 07 for 15,000 km and I have owned my current ZX12 06 for 16,000 km and love both bikes. If you go for the Busa you will spend most of your time explaining why :)

Test ride the bikes as much as possible but which ever way you go with the ZX's you will not be disappointed. I had the ZX14 when my partner was more pillion than rider but that has changed now. ZX12 is better looking IMO.

As for colour it depends if you want to blend in with the herd or to be seen as more of a target in funding your state government, hence both bikes are predominately black.

Good luck :kuda:
