New Pipe for the 08 ZX10 !!

Postby Maccarocks » Sun Dec 05, 2010 11:44 am

Hi all,

I recently picked up an awesome bargain.!! I have always wanted one of these pipes, but originally they where just too expensive... anyway, I finally have one now.. a Vance and Hines CS-1. Looks hot, I love the angular shape, the pipe work is perfect, everything fitted perfect.. it is actually like new even though it was used (not for much though, as you can tell).
It has a real nice deep bark, slightly louder than the Scorpion. It is approx 30mm shorther, but the body of the muffler is slightly larger.. Very happy... Check the pics.. taken this morning.. Macca :D

Thanks for the comments guys..!!

I agree, this is by far the best looking pipe for this model.. it looks like it was designed with the 08 ZX10 in mind actually, as all the angles just fit together..

I got the pipe from a wreckers in Brisbane, I had bought plenty of stuff from them and they wanted to move it on, so my bartering worked..!! As far as my other pipes go, I have sold them on... I have the 'Scorpion' on the track bike now, and have another spare 'Scorpion' exactly the same as a back up can, just in case the worst happens..!!

My Leo Vince can was damaged in the crash, but was repaired, that is now sold to another mate, the Yoshi went on ebay, the other short 'Scorpion' can off my street bike went to Blurr.. (but he blew it up first race  )

The pipe is quite loud really... so I am looking at ordering the sound reducing insert from USA just to have in case it get's to be too much on longer trips... I think I will be right around the street, but the longer runs of 2 hrs to Phillip Island could get a bit much..

Definately looks the goods, but that doesn't mean you have to stop. The more cans you put on the easier it will be for someone to decide whats the best looking can for their 10. You'll haveto organise an image library. :kuda:

Yes, this one is definitely a keeper..!!

You know that feeling you get when you are searching for just the right look, you nearly get there but you still think it could be better... well this one has definitely got everything. The perfect angles, aggressive look which really matches the bike angles, more than any other pipe, plus it really does sound deep and more like a litre bike should sound without being too harsh.. Yep.. I have finally found a keeper...!!!

I might even grab another one for the trackie..!!! So I will have another spare carbon 'Scorpion' can for sale very soon.... ;)
