Hey All from the Gong

Postby Phubar1 » Wed Nov 03, 2010 10:02 pm

Hi All ,

I am not strictly new but I think in twelve months I've only popped in here once for some advice when I got a hole in my radiator of a ZZR I had bought. So I thought I should re-introduce myself as not long after that the 1100 found a new home and I bought a Suzuki Bandit. The Bandit has moved on and I tried on a couple of sports bikes but found them too uncomfortable and then I a stumbled on a 2002 ZZR1200 for a very good price and I couldnt say no to the big black beast. Still learning to ride the ZZR as the straights on Mac pass that I knew quite well from the Bandit seem a whole lot shorter on the ZZR and its no lightweight through the corners. But I love how this thing howls :kuda: when you open it up and the carbs start sucking the good stuff down.

I am pretty happy with the bike as it stands and only plan to add a rack and some risers when I find them but I am open to advice so if you've got some points on improving the 1200 let me know.

Phubs
(I'll take a photo on the weekend)
............I am wondering too
ZZR1200, Bandit 1200 , ZZR1100, FJ1200 and others

Welcome back...wish I lived near Mac Pass. :(

What's the road that like that goes across towards Bowral (I think) from just gong side of the railway bridge near the top. I used it a long time ago in the car and from memory if was a good section of windies...
