Good stuff, if Caths book is the one I read it helps you know what triggers the craving and then you're prepared to cambat it when it happens. I quit over 6 years ago on this method and never looked back.

This is also a very good time to buy a second hand car, and then take out the mood swings on the seller (not that I ever did that  ).

Congrats Richo, I vaguely remember saying that I would quit when you did :? So I suppose I should quit soon

I was planing on quitting at the end of the month, I have cut down on my intake to about 5 a day, weening myself off them so I can just quit at the end of May cold turkey, easy than patches. :D

The cutting down method can back fire as it makes the few your have 'more special' and they become much harder to ditch. Cold turkey or patches from all to nothing may be easier.

Well done mate, that's awesome news. Good luck with hanging in there and if you are determined enough you will definitely make it happen. I bet Andy is pleased.

I found cold turkey...the easiest and best
patches other chemical thingies and hypnosis had me reducing (60 to 20 a day is a BIG drop) but not stopping

one morning, woke up and went fuck it...no more!
havent had one ciggie since (but the craving does come back now and then so be warned!)
GOTTA LUV the 12R!!

Any ideas for a replacement habbit would be good Fred ;) ..

First night on the patches was a bizzare experience .... Ive never had such weird and vivid dreams before! . .. and no, I wont be sharing them in public

Thanks for all your support peeps ;) .. Its only day two though :? .. Plus, I didnt intend this to be a Richo support group by any means, just makes things easier knowing Ive blurted it out to everyone  . . .and hopefully take a few prisoners along the way :D

And on the seventh day Richo ended his work which he had made. Decided resting was for soft cox, straddled the REX and headed up the old road.
And it was good

Replacement habit is easy you already own the best bike in the wrold now bling it, every smoke you dont have adds bling to the Rex, you could end up with more blinged Rex than the Road Captain  and be healtyhy as well, Cahmpix worked for me as it made me not feel like I couldn't give a stuff whether I had a smoke or not, but use whatever works, you wont regret it, until the credit card bills arrive for all that ZRX bling lol :D :D :D

Keep going mate, I quit twelve and a half years ago from 25-30 a day. The birth of my daughter and realising it just isn't worth it was enough for me.
I don't know how you guys go to different areas, have to leave the table at dinner and all that. I would have tried to quit in an instant now, just too much trouble
