Postby SonicZ750 » Thu Apr 15, 2010 10:26 pm

Hey people, Im the lucky owner now of a 2010 Z750. My first modification will be a new pipe so Im asking anyone for advice for a good one with a nice throaty sound and obviously looks the part!! On a 2nd note, any suggestions for LED indicators??? Do they need to be from Kawasaki?

Cheers in advance...
Cheers Matt...

Best advice ... spend money on suspension ... not noise n bling ;)
2004 ZRX1200R
And on the seventh day Richo ended his work which he had made. Decided resting was for soft cox, straddled the REX and headed up the old road.
And it was good

I checked online at several sources for aftermaket exhaust and I coud not find anything for the Z750 of the 2010 vintage. I think 2010 is the same as 2007 through 2009 but I don,t know for sure. Call your dealer they should be able to tell you.

Welcome aboard Sonic! I believe the 2010 is the same as the 07-09 versions. There's an awesome write up here by one of our members on the IXIL pipe which sounds pretty good!

Ali600+150 has the same bike and loves it. For commuting and weekend fun Im sure your going to love it! As for suspension mod's is this your first bike after a 250? Have you owned other bike's before? Its a great step up from the 250 and in time you may decide the setup is a little soft but only if your really getting into weekend twisties regularly. In the meantime just enjoy it for what it is! Look up the regular Sydney rides to meet some friendly and some not so friendly KSRC faces :D

Hi Sonic,

You may have already dealt with this matter, if so for general info, the best slip on for looks and performance on a z 750 is a campbells sidewinder http://www.campbellcustom.co.uk/index.htm

I am a brit but live in malaysia, the campbells can was shipped out to me from uk.

I have an 07 but apart from colours, the bike is unchanged for 2010

Gday people, cheers for all the advice thus far... I have been doing some research and I REALLY like the HOTBODIES megaphone exhaust however Im told from Bike Gear Warehouse that they dont make it for my bike!! What the?? Does anyone have any idea why they wouldnt by now? The look of the short pipe finishing just after the peg is awsome (similar to the sidewinder Doulgas).

Better still, does anyone know if anyone has modified a Hotbodies exhaust for the Z750 or know anyone who does this work?
Cheers Matt...

They don't make it for the Z1000 either. I suppose it's supply and demand. If you can measure the outside diameter of your exhaust pipe where it goes into the stock mufflers you can use just about anything if the manufactorer will give you their specs. I've got a Muzzy full exhaust on my Z1000 with a carbon oval canister and have been thinking of an alternative can and have found several cans that will slip right on in place of my Muzzy, (just for a change for awhile).

any brand LED indicators will do the job so choose the ones you like, however you will need to change out the Relay to correct the flash rate.
