2008 Z750

Postby Mad RS » Wed Mar 03, 2010 5:48 pm

Hey Guys'n'Gals,
I haven't been on here long but I thought that I would share with you my 2008 Kawasaki Z750. I've owned it for roughly 18 months, lucky for me I just into QRide before QLD binned it. Being my first bike has been an interesting experience. From the first time I layed eyes on the bike I was in love. The styling just caught my attention and the colour finished me off.

I have added a few modifications (mostly cosmetic):
-Removed boomerang radiator covers (the only hunting and gathering I do is at the local KFC or Maccas)
-Puig screen (helps alot with highway winds)
-Fender eliminator (cleaned up the rear end just nice)
-Rear seat kowl (same as above)
-Race stand knobs (couldn't live without them)
-IXIL Silencers (who am i kidding, I started the bike and thought the MotoGP was in town  :kuda: )
-Renthal ultra low bars (gives the Zed a bit more of a sporty feel and sharpens up the front end turn in)
-Bar end mirrors (I have no need to tune in free to air TV with those factory mirrors)
-Pazzo levers (sooooooooo much nicer than factory items, plus they add *Bling*)

Anyway, let me know what you think

Yeah I have had a look for belly pans in Aus but can't seem to find anyone who stock them. The UK kawaesaki site has 2 styles, one is a standard looking belly pan while the other is called an Under Cowling. I do like the look of the under cowling but at 264 pounds I think it can wait.

Anyone know of a local product????

Hey Mad RS, nice looking bike. I have the current model and want a new exhaust as the stock one is MASSIVE! What exhaust is yours, I love that short look. Also please tell me what type of sound it makes??? Is it deep and throaty or more of a high pitch?

really interested to know...
Cheers Matt...

Hey Guys,
Thanks for the comments.

Sonic, the pipes are off ebay. IXIL is the brand. They give the bike a real throaty scream. Thing sound like a Moto GP bike now. There not too bad to live with and just sound awsome on the highway.

When i was down in Sydney everyone was saying that I had to do the National Park run down to Woolengong (sp??). There must have been about 15 bike there when I pulled up. I caught their attention as I pulled up (over rev matching as I slowed down 8) ). Everyone commented on the pipes. Also found a heap of parks on the water front and down on the point for great photo's. While I was driving around the point area I saw all these classic old school musscle cars cruising around. This guy came up in his white Cadillac and gave me 2 thumbs up (I had seen this guy before but couldn't think of his name). As I rode off I realised that it was Mike Whitney (Australian fast bowler :kuda: ). So Mike Whitney thinks my bike is cool!!!
