Another Noob on a zxr250c

Postby PaulyB » Thu Dec 10, 2009 1:57 pm

Hey everyone, i bought a '93 zxr250c on a whim, saw it cheap on the side of the road, and im kind of glad i didnt read the forums first, i love it! it had been sitting in a shed for 4 years and the carbies were all dirty and the feul tap had leaked petrol into the sump, but a couple of weekends and i had it all cleaned up, only needing to replace the starter motor and battery in the process, oh and the RAM AIR ducts ( where did that vacum cleaner go?), im getting pretty good KMs in the high 200's before i have to switch over to reserve , only one thing left to fix really, and being an inexperienced bike rider im not sure how serious this is, when i throttle it the rpm rev really high without much effect, and if i hold them high or lower them a bit it accelerates at the same speed to a point where it seems to go heaps harder, im guessing this is something to do with the clutch. anyways Hi ......
