Re: How to Lap the Creek..

its amazing how people wish to insinuate and assume peoples different riding abilities and then try to make it an issue on this forum..like it is in anyway important to the overall scheme of things..

To say I could walk through turn two quicker than I ride is just a stupid irresponsible comment that is unwelcome and unhelpfull and totally innacurate and serves no other purpose than to float Tony's dis-proportionate ego..at my expense..

there are lots of different riders on this forum and they all have different levels of ability, yet I refrain from bagging people I pass on the track like their standing still as it's the gentlemenly thing to do, and I suggest Tony do the same, and in this case not only is it rude but totally innacurate..

I joined this club to ride and have a good time and I refuse to be pulled down by some wanker who has no fucking idea how I ride, when I ride and how fast I go, and what my ability level is..

Obviously this club is all about keyboard jockies like Tony rather than people that get out there and ride and have a good time..for this reason I find it becoming increasingly sad online..

Just a note to those that ride with me, I wont ever be judgemental and bring you down on the forum because you might ride a little slower than me or someone else..I think all that participate in this great club deserve that as a minimum..

Get Farked..Hoff.

Mate - once again you've taken the wrong end of the stick and run with it.

My comment was related to the following post from Rob:
robracer wrote:Fastest way round hoff... get off the bike

I naturally equated 'get off the bike' with 'walk', and made a joke.
Arguably at your expense, but a joke nonetheless - which we all have been prone to do.

If you choose, or chose, to take offence rather than treat it for the joke it was then frankly it's your problem.
Had you taken it seriously at the time and said privately 'mate, didn't like that, uncalled for' I might've apologised as it wasn't intended as a seriously slur.

After the above tirade though, which I had thought was tongue-in-cheek until now and played along with for a bit, I'm not fussed.
You can take it offline with me if you want to.

seriously gentlemen, does it really matter?

So many are quick to assume & equate ability in relation to lap times around a given circuit.

This is somewhat unjust as there are so many variables of 'ability' & 'skill'

The ability to consistently ride in differing conditions, ie: weather & surface through to controlling incomparable machines.
Now this is a Pandora imo... *the grande question of measure! "what times do you do?"

Hypothetically: Two Riders @ EC / Rider-A does 40's on an 09-10R and Rider-B does 42's on a 99-6R ???
Rider-A goes home when it rains and Rider-B goes for a swim...etc etc

Some might assume a skillful rider to be one that knows their limits and that of their machine, one that is not only self aware but that of others around them.

Now i know ego's fly when the drums beat and comments can be taken out of context at times.. and I could somewhat understand the mental competitiveness if those concerned were opposing each other at a race meet.. but challenging over a ride day?!

Just remember those around you might be quick enough to pack your gear and haul your broken mess home when you come unstuck... and that in my books is more impressive!

this is all a warm shaken can of VB as far as I'm concerned, I'd recommend a couple of kudas, high fives and even a virtual hug...

not that i'm a constant contributor of KSRC, but i have regarded it as one of the most friendly, personable and helpful clubs in comparison to many. It would be a shame to see it demise to the level of most others.

I some how got roped into this from an old post so I don't give a rats what is said as it has nothing to do with me, I have never said anything to Hoffy about lap times etc cause I don't care, I honestly don't care!
I am called Robracer because I spent 10 years racing nothing more nothing less I am definitely not the quickest around that track & never suggest I would be ;)
Exactly the same as the road riding...... I don't profess anything & have nothing to prove to anyone ;)

We occasionally have this sort of talk Hype but it is not the norm by any means & the high regards you hold of the club are shared by many ;)

yes - I really don't know where this came from.
I thought Hoffy was kidding initially, and played along - until it was apparent he was 'serious'.

I'm toying with giving that space I picked up off Disco back.......I feel 'red mist' rising and I don't wanna be around too many egos.

I'm pretty sure some great leader says, 'you can find out who is faster than who at the track' ha ha 2.30's for me!

Really who gives a flying fark but can still say 'watch the outside on turn two Hoff ;)'

Lighten up guys :D

hoffy, pull the pole outta ya arse...

everyone has banter about how quick they are, part of the reason people go to the track is to better a certain lap time or achieve a goal... and if it isnt then good... everyone likes to have little battles (a la mick c, nick & gos. a la cath and robracer) but its all just fun...

i even gee myself/people up sometimes but i definitely dont take serious offence if someone passes me... and if you seriously think that people here actually judge you because of a lap time you do, then i'd say you're way out of whack with how much people care...

OK, I am farkin slow OK everyone, way slower than Tony and alot less skillfull I must say.

I might be way 'slow and pathetic' on a bike but when it's all said and done, I have every right to go to Eastern Creek and ride the farkin way I like to ride and do the fark whatever I want to do. My turn 2 line might not be that of Jamie Stauffer or Robracer 'The God Of Turn 2' but you know what, jam it up your fukin ass, cause I get round there alot faster than many others and I'm happy with the way I ride....that includes the way I ride on the road too, to which I must admit I am pathetic and feeble and have no skill whatsoever...

I am sick to death of this 'go-fast' bullshit, I just want to ride and have fun etc etc..all you communist 'Critics' can jam it fair sideways up your arse !

ty wrote:yes - I really don't know where this came from.

Ohh really, it may have been the comment that 'I could walk through turn 2 quicker than I could ride', which I must say I dont think I'd say that to anyone no matter how slow they are, that is just out of line, I mean we are not contests in GP racing, I really dont see what it is of your fukin business..and to expect people not to take offense to those sorts of comments is simply ridiculous, it's a slag off in full public view which is not appreciated.

HYPE wrote:seriously gentlemen, does it really matter?

No it shouldn't matter if I take turn 2 like Rossi or a kid on a 'ride on dinosaur'..thats exactly my point..I am defending the right of all to go through that fucking corner however the fuck they like and not be ridiculed by wankers like Tony...but thanks for your post, I did tear up with emotion as I could tell it was from the heart..
