Buzzy Muzzys

I've got a muzzy titanium full system on my 04 z1000, which has an annoying buzz to it, esp 3500-5500rpm range. I've repacked the muffler, checked all the springs etc. and still can't make it go away. Alls good for the first few kms, then the buzz starts and gets progressively louder. It almost sounds like an electrical buzz, but can't be a short or the bike would have stopped. The bike rides fine, just the buzz cuts thru helmet/ ear plugs like tinnitis and shits me. The buzz is on the front left side of the bike, even though the pipe runs down the right. Could it be the headers? I had one guy suggest the exhaust gaskets can break down and start rattling, but other have sneered at this. I know they are the original ones from the orig. pipes ( i know the history of the bike fairly well even though I'm not the orig. owner) and with 30,000 k on the bike, maybe its time to refresh them? I'd like the bike a whole lot more if it stopped this friggin noise.

loose fairing? have you considered padding slightly between the plastic joins? like a thin layer of insulation tape like you can use on windows & doors.

My 09 zx10 has an annoying buzz coming from the front fairing area from 3000 to 5000rpm!! Said something about it while it was in for its first service and they put some small rubber spacers etc in between a couple of places in the nose cone and told me it was better and it was fuckin worse!!
Ive tightened every screw on the damn thing and its still there so ive just learnt to live with it.. Its not as noticable now i have put the yoshi on as shes now a loud bitch

its a z1000, so not many fairings, but where they do exist, yeah I've gone over it and put double sided tape in anywhere there's movement. It's more of mechanical buzz - I know the z's had a buzzy clutch when they first came out, its not that.
