Hi there...

Postby vanrootn » Thu Oct 01, 2009 8:59 pm

hello from adelaide :D

I have recently purchased a new bike, I'm now the proud owner of a zxr250. It is a nice upgrade from my awesome TGB 50cc scooter lol

It was one of a few Australian sold models (i have receipts to prove it, for those non believers 8) ) 23,000kms on the clock and rising fast

look forward to browsing the site and maybe going on a cruise or two. Got some pics coming

Pete

Welcome to KSRC Pete wave.gif
Funny that this one was bought into the country via normal means, the ZXR250 was never ADR approved, but paperwork cant lie ;)

They actually don't sell them here brand new they are all grey Imports you will have the built date, and a compliance plate ( when it was registered in Oz )

When I bought mine it was a in 2001 I think can't remember now but it was a 1993 model or some where around there..... but it was compliance in 2001 ;)

Honda CBR had the grey import and ( Australian model -Brand new ) as well..... but they stop bringing the Australian around 2000 something hence why you can pay a little more for the Honda's ;)

I always beat the hondas anyway  ;)

Enjoy your ride mate and keep it shiney side up!

i agree with you this bike probably was an import (compliance 03), but it was sold here with 0 or close to 0 kilometers, i have receipts for the first service 1000km!

where would i look on the bike for the build date? The only date i can find is 2003 on the compliance
