Yes. Huge difference.
The '02 was a 636 engine, but still had the old styling, and more importantly, the old frame / chassis setup (or if not the same - extremely similar). The '03 had a total revamp of pretty much everything - rock hard suspension, the frame design was highly track focused, etc.
Joe, you can have a lap on my '06 if you want, just to get a feel for it. I don't think I'd get more than 8K for mine, probably more like 7.5K, so it's in the right ballpark and just might be the thing. Though I think the 9 might suit you better. Still - you never know until you give it a spin!
