top gun scheme or kawasaki green and black

Postby chrisdunn89 » Fri Jul 31, 2009 6:12 pm

i have a 86 gpz900 and i am thinkin towards the future sometime, but what does everyone think would work better on a older bike like mine. classic 80s movie top gun colours or give it a fresher look with kawasaki green and black colours. i tend to swing towards green and black because i wasnt around when the movie came out but i think for people that would remember the bike would really appreciate abit of 80's comeback. please tell me your thoughts on what colours you think and how could i do the green and black in a really nice way?????

Original paint scheme maintains the value of the bike. Good quality job stands out too. Luv my ZRX coz it reminds me of my old 9. Great old bike! :D
2 X ZRX1200R 4 X ER6N, GT550, 1988 ZX-10, 4 X GPZ250R, 4 X GPZ900R and GPZ750R :) Yeah I like Kawasakis.

i agree with you but the original isnt very good, old bud who i bought it off come off so the bottom half where the 900 is has scratched away on the right and fairing is cracked in alot of spots. feel asthough it would be a good project to repaint it something different from the norm

Stay with a orignal colour scheme (top quality job of course), would look the best and maintain resale value ;)

I had a feeling someone would wheel out a picture like that. Honestly, just redo the original paintjob
