How about we PM our starting weight to an independent party?

Just don't expect Stereo like results.... he did an absolutely incredible effort.

Me, I gotta stay off the potato chips and drink more water  Oh and use the gym equipment that no one in our house uses....

I agree with Mike, it's not the kg's it's the waist size that I'll have to work on however there is a lot of kg's that need loosing too....

cheers and good luck cos I know I'll need it....

I lost 17kg in five months just before and during the time when my Ex left. Nothing to do with her, just felt it needed doing.

Found my new partner and put it all back on

I already go to the gym, just got to cut down on the carbs and eat them at the right time. The CSIRO diet is pretty good if anyone is interested.

Quick question - are we going to go on % of weight lose or actual kgs lost?

Also - do we have a neutral third party prepared to volunteer being the judge / jury?

Cheers :kuda: :kuda:

"Geez mate you look good" is the best judge

I'm in too
As from tomorrow I'm going to Wii it up every morning.
I will also start a research study titled "Lose weight and still enjoy beer!" :D
And as for weight I don't give a crap. I'm 103.4 kgs. Those that don't want to admit what they weigh are just in denial.
Don't fool yourself everyone else has already sized you up as either Porky, Plump, Lard arse, Fat, obese, or Ohmyfakingawdyourhuge in their own minds. Get over it and be comfortable with it or lose it.

My dad's been doing a "10,000 steps a day" program/competition with his work.

His work is divided into 2 groups, and they compete for the number of steps they can do in total over a period.

He wears a pedometer all the time, and everyone puts their steps online everyday.

The great thing about it is that it measures YOUR ACTIVITY, and if focuses on walking and activity as a way into health, not focusing on the FOOD.

There's an equivalent amount of steps for say riding a bike etc etc.

The guys including my dad are getting some pretty darn good results from it.

If anyone's interested I can find out more.

On the fitness side of things, I'm (re)starting the Couch to 5K program, if anyone's interested. It's a run/walk program designed to get you from being a non-runner to being able to run for 5kms. The focus is on getting you moving and once you can run (or shuffle) 5K, then worry about increasing your speed. I've heard really good things about it
