It's running the oil pump. I suspect massive detonation, possibly caused by the B6ES plug in that cylinder, as opposed to the B9something in the other one. With the help of Gos the engine is now out and on the bench, and the new parts are ordered, have to get it all back together again as I only have a month until Oran Park, wish me luck :).

awesome little bikes. Heres a pic of my winter project from last year. Rapid magazine was nice enough to print a few pics of it in last months issue.

OK, so I've had this idea kicking around my head for a while now about a paint job for the little beauty. The holidays and resulting hot weather was the perfect time to put the plan into action (also the fact that during the recent tidying of the shed I found some tins of the correct colour spray paints :)).

First, take off all the fairings and remove all stickers and give them a clean:

Then, spray some black lines all over it:

Mask up the black lines so they stay black:

Paint the whole thing white:

Put some masking tape over some of the white bits:

And then paint the whole thing red:

Pull all the masking tape off:

...and voila! Put it back on the bike and it ends up looking like this:

Do you have to be a child of the 70s or 80s to figure out where the inspiration for this particular paint job came from???
