[Syd] Avoiding tolls into city

Postby Colette » Thu Jun 18, 2009 2:42 pm

Just a question for Sydney road experts...

If you were riding from Lane Cove/Artarmon and heading South into the city while wanting to avoid tolls, which way would you go?

Getting there from the city is easy enough as you don't pay tolls heading across the bridge from Fig St, Ultimo, but going back seems a bit trickier.

Anyone have any suggestions, please?

Go down Centenial Ave and Burns Bay Rd, over Gladesville Bridge, through Drummoyne, Balmain and over the Anzac Bridge to Ultimo..... :kuda:

There's no other route East of this one without a toll, so it's this one, cover your plate, or how well do you swim   ..........
Traffic is pretty much the same everywhere in peak hour so you'll get caught which ever way you go.............. :kuda:

Agreed again. Anywhere between those two points is an absolute shitfight anywhere remotely IN peak hours.
