No worries, the kit is from eLation bike, which is a small aussie company which started out as a hobby. They cost about $1400 including the battery. It is the best but *not* the most expensive

.
The throttle works like a normal motorcycle, hopefully you have ridden one

. I moved it to left handlebar as I want to do rapid-shifting with the right hand. The gearchange mechanism is the oringinal bike gears, except the front gear is free-wheeling.
Why is this kit the best that I know?
- It freewhels both on the crank and motor
- uses normal bike gears (as supposed to hub motor in cheapo ebay kits...)
- Battery is the best (LiFEPO4).
It doesn't accelerate well. What electric motor does best, however, is holding a certain RPM. So what I'd do is pedal to certain speed and let the motor hold it. 35kph no pedalling is no issue this morning to work (cold)...
