i reckon the skid marks in the jocks will come the first time the knees hit the ground! i'd imagine if it happened, the first time would be a little un-nerving, or , surprising.
it'd actually be interesting to hear about everyones 'first time' making contact with knee to road i'd only guess some would be deliberate, some might be a surprise, others may have been painful.

sounds like a thread in the making!!

i have only scratched the sides of mine, didnt even notice i had touched the ground, then again when you touch down with your boots and pegs, and the arse end lifts a bit unnerving.

i've never scraped with mine, not through lack of trying though. ive got no chicken strips, but can't quite manage to get the knee down :( dunno what im doing wrong, but i leave em on anyway......better to have them and not need/use them, than to not have them on and have a need for them. and i don't give a fuck what other people think of me, so i don't think its such a big deal :kuda:

It have seen people without the sliders using the velcro to hang their gloves when not on the bike.

Also, remember if your telling people you just replaced your sliders, when you ride they'll be expecting you to get ya knee down!
