Righto lads.

Had a bit of a look around the bike this weekend.

Air filter was quite greasy / black, so I washed it out, dried it properly, checked the plugs, and cabling.

The plugs were all a nice light brown colour, even for all 4 cylinders, man the plugs are along way down in the block on the 7r

I found the Positive terminal lead to the battery was loose ..... Nipped that up quick smart.

Cleaned the loom, checking for snags, catches, perished insulation obvious damage etc.. All good.

All back together, ran the bike until the fan kept kicking in, then turned it off.

Started again, 1st crank !!

Tried again, 1sr crank again !!

You beauty, let's see how things go over the next few weeks, but I reckon it's Job done 8)

Thx for all the words of wisdom :kuda:

Yes indeedy mate ! 8) :kuda:

The daily run to and from work on my old bike had me bucking a shaking on some bends, due to the lovely Sydney council thinking roads should be left until you have goat tracks instead of bitumen .... But this bike just deals with it, does'nt complain, takes more than I can throw at it

I still have not had the time or opportunity to leave the wifey and kids and go for a proper run yet, last run I did was to the Jenolan caves and back, that was awesome, I can only imagine how much fun it would be on this steed.....

I was a owner of zx7rr before few years and always when was hot , start very difficult. the problem was the carbs, but nobody in my country coudnt fix them. they are totally different from zx7r. I had little improvement when i changed battery and sparks plug( when the starter turns slowly the spark plugs getting wet ).
otherwise the bike is awesome. ;)
