I have just replaced the rear on mine with another BT016, and I must say, I was impressed even with the OEM tyre. The first one lasted 12400k's (not a typo

) including the MotoGP run which for me was about a 5500k round trip (via Adelaide). Like most wannabes, most of my riding is the daily commute to work, with the occasional blast up Glorious. I (still

) haven't had the pleasure of a track day yet, so i can't vouch for how the tyre goes in a controlled environment, but I cannot fault it for the type of riding i have done in the past 6 months. The biggest prob i had with it was the massive flat spot in the centre after the trip to The Island. It set me back $319, however I had to go down a profile, to a 50 instead of 55, because apparently the 55 is hard to get at the moment. You may not have that prob as the 6 has a smaller tyre. Also Bridgestone have just increased the price of the BT016 by quite a bit, 190/55 17 was about $325, now around $375. My OEM front still has 1 or 2 k's left in it with no probs there either.

Most motorcycle problems are caused by the nut that connects the handlebars to the saddle.
