'95 ZX6R Race Bike breather bottles

Postby Goanna » Wed Mar 18, 2009 2:07 pm

Just started racing my ZX6R '95 model have only got the radiator breather bottle happening.

Can anyone help me if you have yours setup with a Carby breather bottle and a crankcase breather bottle.

I can find the breather coming out of the back of the air box but Im not sure where the crankcase breather is.

Where is the best place for the bottle/s and what type of bottle is recomended.

Any help much appreciated.

Regards,

Matt

Not sure what a carby breather bottle is...
The crank case breather hole is on the top of the lower engine case (between the block and the rear suspension). This breather hole should have a tube from it into the back of the air box.
The radiator overflow should go into a catch tank (600 ml plastic bottle strapped inside the fairing or similar) This is also suppose to have an overflow tube that runs from the top of the bottle also into the airbox according to the Moms.. None of mine have had an overflow tube to the air box though and I wouldn't paricuarly want one.. Don't want water in the airbox..

I just use the standard rad breather bottle and run the bottle overflow back up to the airbox. I only 3/4 fill the rad but. I once had it filled to the brim and the bike ran on three by Lukey and two by turn 11! I use the airbox drain as the overflow bottle exhaust inlet! 8)
