The ZX9R had a 899cc carbie, the z1000 has been bored out by 13.5mm per cylinder and has fuel injection this in turn has given it better low & midrange performance but top end has suffered just a tad (we can Thank Euro 3 stanards for that) with the right suspension setup I'd put my money on a Z1000 any day.
I ride because it's more satisfying. I ride because it's more fun. I ride because my Mum told me not to. I ride because as long as I'm paying attention, it's safer than driving.
