Hi, I have a 1998 zx6r and recently it has been getting flat batteries and therefore not starting. If I jump start it off another battery it always starts. Has anyone else had the same problem?
I have tried using a new battery and it still has the problem. I have narrowed it down to the charging system as it is not pumping out 13+volts when running (used multimeter)-its reading 11volts when engine running.
So its either alternator/stator or voltage regulator, can anybody assist me in where these are located and if possible how to get to them and test each... Any help would be good
Trent

Also is there any bike mechanics in the Penrith area who could fix this problem?

You could Battery World in Henry St to check it out for you...
There's also Kelen Kawasaki in Penrith.
