I don't live anywhere near Gympie. I have a bigger and stronger heart than you will ever dream of peaheart!!! Yeah thanks for that not many people could build a red as you call them that stayed together at over 8000 rpm for many years of service. Oh yeah unlike Canberra BEX is no longer available in any other state along with Vincents, porn, fireworks etc etc.....
quote]

Yeah pretty fond of the old red - What was she? Street car/speedway/rally/drag etc? What did you do (ie cam pistons, head, rockers etc)to get these kind of RPM's / reliability mate --- sounds pretty impressive for the venerable Holden 6 ...

My favourite was the HP IMO..

Was in my HG ute. Not a 179 HP block just a 186+ .060" (192) cast steel crank (000)watson 30/70 solid with twr solid followers head was originally yellow terra but screwed and pinned post better v/springs std 186 adjustable rockers bit of extra port work (half ball type) a lot of bottom end work fluidtype harmonic balancer standard rods shot peened then polished and equally weighted arp bolts bushed small ends balanced crank lightened f/wheel acl flat top pistons matched weight msd 1 ign 186S manifold adaptor + 500 holley genie tuned extractors glover twin point dist trw hi vol oil pump all put together with alot of care and attention. But that was a long time ago!
My street bike back then was better H1 500 mach 3 beeline chambers pods 32mm VM mikunis bit of port work was a very fast wobbly machine they were the days. Petrol was 13 cents a litre suspension and brakes were nothing as a matter of fact an old saying of mine was brakes were the enemy of speed. Always rode em as if we stole em.

I know I'm getting old but fuck all you young blokes I have been there and done that and I still occasionally run amok.

I never was a machinist but I could tell them what I wanted then I would put it together and make them go. And go they did!

Fake quotes eh ??    You are really getting a bit desperate now eh Allan ?? Those quotes are still all on the forum over at Kawiriders mate, anyone here can access them in a matter of seconds    you just really don't get how these forum work do you mate ? There are a number of members here who have already gone and had a look at the quotes on Kawiriders themselves - I guess all you can do is call bullshit if they quote the same things eh ?? You know mate, keep digging that hole, eventually you might dissapear up your own fundamental orifice...

If anyone wants to check out how much Allan pissed off the rest of the forum over at Kawiriders, check out his posts on the GPZ900R tuning thread - it can be found here. This thread is a perfect example of how some very normal forum chit-chat was taken by Allan as *vicious* personal attacks  . It was just amazing how he turned a normal thread into a tirade of abuse against a couple of members over there, and then begged the mods to ban a number of us !! anyone who reads this will know exactly what I am talking about.......it also includes that gem of a quote from one of the forum members that describes Allan to a T. False quotes eh ??? You imbecile, as if I would waste time doing shit like that...... All the quotes I have taken from Kawiriders are 100% accurate, and anyone who checks them out will see that for themselves !

You see Allan - everything you have accused me of is false. Brucey can vouch for that, seeing as it was his bike and all. He and I know *exactly* what happened to his bike, and how it was fixed. How you would know anything about it from Park Ridge is beyond me  ..........

But you continue to belittle the efforts made by others to help fellow forum members, both on this forum and over at the other place. That speaks volumes about the type of grandiose egotistical fuckhead that you really are. Well done old mate, not many people can achieve a reputation like that in <40 posts !!

Good work goose,

I enjoyed your link and enjoyed going back over one of the"events". Seems I only apologised to Christo and Jim for me giving them some grief as moderators nothing to do with the post. I also noticed that I did not ask for anyone to be banned as you have suggested!!!

You missed the link to the "crap" article. You know the one where you stuffed Brucey's bike!!!

I ride with Brucey every now and again. His bike was running fine until he smeared it across a rock wall. In fact, the engine still runs, it's just missing some other bits now.

I reckon one more reference to shit that happened on *some other fucking website* and this thread dies a premature death. FFS Fonc, you've turned up here and done nothing but stir shit, and I for one am completely over it - you keep coming back posting useless shit, childish retorts and mindless dribble, and really don't seem to have added anything to the discussion whatsoever.

Love him or loathe him Gos is a bit of an institution around here and it'll take a lot more than one pissed-off wannabe to change that - you fought the good fight but it's over. How about you leave quietly of your own accord?

I never made this above statement. I did call you a peaheart after your statement about angina and BEX!

Allan - I'll type this s-l-o-w-ly so you understand it - the reference to aircraft kero was *A FUCKING JOKE* . The wink at the end of the original post on Kawiriders would indicate this to most people with an IQ larger than their shoe size. As your IQ appears to be better than the average MENSA member, why then did you choose diesel mechanics as a profession ??

I became a mechanic because I enjoyed it. I still enjoy my chosen trade! Are you saying to be a mechanic you should not have an IQ??? Or mechanics are stupid?

However, you seem to have attached your entire vindicative diatribe in every post to this apparent *error* made over 6 months ago on another forum ... get Over It you fucking imbecile. it was no error, it was a joke that only *you* did not get.

Mate it was from this site where you told everybody that Av-GAS was kero not the other forum.

Allan's problem is this - anyone who disagrees with him, and offers a different opinion, is *having a go* at him.....or *personally attacking* him . He begged the mods at Kawiriders to ban a number of members who, like me, offered different views about what the word *tappet* means to mechanics other than himself. Begged and pleaded that we should all be *BANNED* for having the nerve, the unmitigated GALL, to disagree with the Greatest Living Mechanic Known To Mankind.......it was pathetic, childish and probably the most immature thing I have ever seen on any forum anywhere.

I would like to see the begging and pleading part in your link as well as all the other shit you have dreamed up!

Allan - You need to grow up and act your age. Old men like you should be setting an example ( I know I always try to ! ), not carrying on like a spoilt brat because you didn't get your way. For someone with 30 posts on this forum, and maybe 40 on Kawiriders, you sure as hell piss off a lot of members with your abrasive, know-it-all manner. Congratulations, you are well on your way to pissing off more members here.

Mate I am here as an individual. As far as pissing people off it was not my intention, you being the exception of course! I suppose you have never pissed anybody off!

The internet is not for you mate - stick to reconditioning fuel pumps on Caterpillars eh ?? You really have no place on forums like this......where some degree of humility and humour are mandatory requirements. You possess neither. But your ongoing fuck-ups when talking about all things mechanical continue to give me much mirth......like this one !

The internet is for anybody that has access. I am capable of overhauling much more than just CAT pumps. Do you own this forum??? I have excess humility as well as humour, I am responding to you aren't I??? Your lack of mechanical wisdom has given me hours of amusement!

foncwit wrote:.... I would not let you touch my Victa as you would fuck the valve timing in it....

What, you mean those 2-stroke Victas now have valves ??    More gold from the Master of Disaster !!! :kuda:

Well the ones with Briggs & Stratton engines do! But I was talking about a two stroke when you are involved with the repairs.

Keep up the great work with the grade 4 schoolyard taunts Al, this is one of the funniest threads I have seen for a long time......

Guys, what started as a post about a technical query, has degenerated far beyond acceptable limits.
I've been part of ksrc for a long time now and I certainly don't feel this thread has a place on our forum. I can only imagine a new or prospective member signing up being completely put off by it (at a time when we are considering a membership drive).

Can we please can this thread?
