I reckon the wind blast from the the lack of fairing would be a good indicator that im speedingwhereas on a faired bike its pretty easy for the speed to get away on you with out realising quite how fast im doing.
From what you are saying it sounds like the z1000 is the go in regards to power delivery. 95% of my riding would now be on the road where as with the 6 it was mainly on the track with a few road trips here and there.
I have seriously considered a zx9 or even a zx12 but i think i would probably get myself into trouble just as easy on one of those as i would on a 10.
So it sounds like im looking for a late model z1000![]()

thats what i think too (sorry to all the 9 lovers out there).
having said that though if a low k's 02/03 nine pops up at the right price before a z1000 does i might grab it for a year or so till my situation is better and i can afford to spend more money again.
