Try the following fix's 1. Malware Bytes (free) 2. Schmitfraud fix (free) 3. SD Fix (free), you should take your computer off line and dissable your present antivirus/spyware and run Malware Bytes first (it does not like other antivirus/spyware programs running) then run 2. then 3. takes a fair bit to get all of the elements of Antivirus 2009 off your computer. good luck

When you say Mac, do you mean a proper Mac, with one button on the mouse because their customers were too stupid to use more than one?
Or do you mean a PC with an Apple logo on the front running that shitty O/S that only Mac users think is so intuative?

well i believe im referring to the shitty pc, with an apple on the cover ;) ... forget the "intuitive" stuff...

if u had a mac u would never even have to ask which anti-virus software to use, you would never have to deal with the prince of darkness, or anything that microsoft do, except of course when even mircosoft realised they had to release microsoft office for mac... must prove something, when you start modifying your program for use by the competition ;)

oh and if u still think macs have a one button mouse then its been a fair while since u checked out the competition ;)

it pays to explore outide the realm of windows...

its all a matter of preference, you prefer a bloated system that is packed with bugs and viruses, and i prefer a system where your 'one button mouse' can do more than the average windows user can do with keyboard shortcuts (see multitouch interface)

also note I am an MCP/soon to be MCSE, and i prefer mac simply because i can fiddle with it without it breaking every 5 mins

I love you "anti-Microsoft" people. Not wanting to use Windows because you've got some kind of point to prove.

I'm not even going to get started on the top 20 or 30 things I hate about Apple and their pox on society with a ridiculous Scottish name. Although a quick look at the games section of the Apple store would be a good start. Ooops, I did start. No more. I promise.

That's it. I'm done here.

Good day.

didnt i point out that i am an MCP and soon to be MCSE, if i was anti microsoft, whay would i be getting certified as a systems engineer?

I just happen to prefer Mac os X at home in the sense that it does certain things better, as windows does some things better than apple, each has its place, and instead of arguing that apple is crap because its different, i use it for what its good at, and use windows when the job requires it.

I hate parts of both apple and windows, apples lack of customisability and games, windows lack of security and their poor attempts to make up for it stand as two examples. they are completely different and should be approached as such.

But the argument still stands, there are less viruses for mac, its a well known fact and it was merely raised as an option. no hate wars needed.

I used to use AVG but found it lacking on more than one occassion. I always recommend Avast Antivirus. http://www.avast.com/eng/download-avast-home.html

Not that I use it.... :) I personally prefer ESET NOD32. But that isn't free.

Hoffy, hiding the toolbar doesn't stop the plugin from running. removing the toolbar manually is the best way to go ahead with this. Especially as things like this usually install without a way of unstalling them.
