I'm feeling the need to fess up and explain my actions.
Those who know me will know of the stress and trauma that my ZZR600 has put me through, given my shorter than average stature. I chose it when it was upgrade time, and at the time (and still is), it was amongst the shortest of the 600s, although there were not a whole lot of short ones to choose from.
After the first two drops, I had the seat shaved and the suspension wound down, and this went a fair way to restoring my confidence, but I never fully recovered. Hooning around on the weekends through the hills, and away up the mountains for holidays is generally not a problem, but commuting traffic.....is a complete other story. I feel in my heart I have given it my best shot, but my head refuses to deal with it anymore.
It is with great shame that I have taken a step to a lower capacity bike, simply for the lower weight and therefore added agility for the commuting part of my motorcycling life. Had Kawasaki been able to offer one to fit, I'd have been first at the door with my cash in hand, but they offer me NOTHING (love them as I do). No, not even the ER6F - 795mm seat height, my ass.
I'm keeping the ZZR at least for the short term, cause I just don't think I could face Mt Hotham on a 250 again after the first and only try on my learner bike. We'll see what happens after that.

So ner

PS: As if I'd turn up to a KSRC function/ride on anything other than a Kawasaki - I think not.
